Albert Mills, fire damage
October 1961. Photograph showing damage caused by fire of 18 August 1961. Mill chimney on right. ten cars, including Morris Minor, Austin A35 and Ford Prefect are parked in the foreground.
Just to add to the identification of the vehicles in this photo. The two facing forward but not mentioned in the description, are - a Jowett Bradford (essentially a van with windows), it was made at Eccleshill in Bradford, and - I believe, had a two-stroke engine. The car on the extreme left, is a Sunbeam Talbot. I seem to recall that in its day, this car was hailed as the first production saloon to boast a top-speed of 100mph. They are now considered a Classic.
