Bridge Road, Bar-Celona
26th March 1980.
View of the Bar-Celona public house on Bridge Road, which advertises entertainment 7 days a week for an admission fee of 50p or 70p. Acts due to appear this week are Tony Crane and Sasha. This Grade II listed building was formerly the Star and Garter Inn, where the actress, Sarah Siddons, was said to have stayed while playing at the Leeds theatre in Hunslet in 1807.

Memories
Saw pop sensation Liquid Gold there sometime in the early 80's. Building was in a bit of a state, we had a table near a bucket that was catching dripping water from the ceiling.
