Cross Belgrave Street, Wrens Hotel
1970s.
View of Cross Belgrave Street showing the Wrens Hotel on the left at the junction with Merrion Street. Named after its original owner Alfred Wren, it was opened in 1880. Further along are Leo Goldman, tailor, and R.L. Gowns. At the end of the block is Greenhills (Dress you Better) Ltd. of Belgrave Hall. The junction with Belgrave Street is on the right.
Wrens is still open as a pub today after a full refurbishment in 2009.

Memories
At the end of Croos Belgrave Street with the junction with Hartley Hill, was Brunswick Motors a Standard/Triumph motor dealer, where I worked from 1959 to 1963,these premises were demolished to make way for the inner ring road,I believe in 1967.
