Park Lane and Leighton Lane, junction

6th October 1937. hops on Leighton Lane and Park Lane. From Left to right can be seen: C. H. Randerson, barber shop, a tobacconists selling Craven A, Will's and Zubes, with two men standing in the doorway, plumber and electricians' shop, and cabinetmaker's shop. A post box can be seen on the far right hand side. There is a Belisha beacon on the corner, and a large hoarding above shops advertising Andrews liver salts and Oxo.

g grandfather John Pearson lived at no 33 Leighton Lane. He was a cabinet maker. I wonder if he had the Cabinet maker's shop on Layton Lane? He was small and very smart with curly black hair just like the man in the photograph
