Harehills Lane, Roundhay Road junction
22nd November 1939
On the left, junction with Back Hill Top Mount, line of people queuing for a bus at the bus stop. To the right, paved area is the junction with Roundhay Road. All the kerb edges, gas lamps, bus stop and telegraph pole have been painted with white lines. This was a precaution to enable people to see them during war time black-out.

Memories
Here they are again, the steps up to the Yorkshire Penny Bank as it was called when I was a child. I don't know when the bank was built, but I am now 69. I think that bus stop is still there.
