Roundhay Park, donkey ride

September 1938. A young boy sits atop a donkey at Roundhay Park, near to the Barron fountain. Commercial donkey rides featured at the park in the 1920s and 1930s, and were enjoyed by young children as an occasional treat. The donkey proprietor also poses for the photograph. To my certain recollection Donkey rides were a regular feature at Roundhay Park in the 1950’s ( not just the 20’s & 30’s)
