Photograph of Benjamin Scarth, on a grey horse, taken during the First World War. He is in the uniform of the Royal Field Artillery, Leeds Artillery Territorials. He enlisted in the army in April 1889 and was discharged in August 1917. He rose to the rank of Battery Quarter Master Sergeant on 13th September 1916.
